The County Clerk is authorized by state law to issue marriage licenses, and as a designated Passport Acceptance Facility by the US Department of State, the Clerk's Office provides support for citizens applying for and renewing US passports.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Enhanced Public Service
- Removed phone recordings and menus, so that when patrons call the office, a real person answers, not a recording.
- Focused on customer service. My team consistently receives a 5-star rating from our passport customers.
- Provided single ceremony designee, so couples may have their marriage solemnized by a person of thier choosing
- Established an online scheduling system, providing 24/7 scheduling services.
- Established simple low cost marriage ceremony services for couples
- Established an online request and payment module for requesting copies of marriage licenses.

Maintained Critical Services During Pandemic. (2020) we were one of the only Clerk's Offices in the region that did not close our doors. We provided marriage license services for much of northern Utah and parts of Nevada, Wyoming, and Idaho during the peak of the pandemic.

Worked to Pass Legislation to Protect Marriage License Records (2021), changing the designation of a marriage license filed in the Clerk's Office from a public record to a private record, protecting citizens' privacy.
